Childhood Therapy

In this therapy, a variety of play and arts techniques are used to alleviate chronic, mild and moderate psychological and emotional conditions in children, which may cause behavioural problems and/or prevent them from realising their potential.

We use this tool as a form of communication to help a child understand confused feelings and upsetting circumstances, and allow children to express feelings and thoughts without feeling interrogated or threatened.

This therapy is useful in autism, intellectual impairment, conduct disorder, anxiety related disorders, childhood depression and even for children with physical disabilities.

Our special educators make utmost efforts so that the child overcomes his learning difficulty and learns in the best possible way.

It offers therapies that help parents gain a better understanding of their parental style, face and eventually conquer their personal issues, and restore their family, bringing back harmony and peace in the household, with the ultimate motive being the improvement in socio-emotional functioning of the child.

Parental counselling helps to identify and differentiate between helpful and unhelpful parenting strategies and helps them to cope with the challenges of special children, ADHD, autism and other problems.

It is based on the idea that no child is born with a behaviour problem and all behaviours are learned.

Behavioural modification seeks to change or shape behaviour through a set of stimuli and response actions, operant conditioning works under the premise that the best way to understand a person’s behaviour is to look at the reason for action and the consequences of said action.

This mode of treatment can be used for most behavioural problems in children such as Conduct Disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD),attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), phobias, enuresis (bed-wetting), generalized anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, intellectual disability and autism.

These include Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy and associated disorders, Spina Bifida, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Arthrogryposis, Cardio-Pulmonary Disorders, Cystic Fibrosis, Cancer, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
